Cookie policy
In short: the uturn.day website only uses strictly necessary technical tools. We don't use profiling, analytics or advertising cookies, and there are no third-party tools following you from one website to another.
1What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar tools, such as local storage, let small pieces of information be saved on your device. On this page we call them all “cookies”.
2What we use
| Name | Type and provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
uturn-lang | Local storage, UTurn | Remembers the language you picked | Until you delete it |
uturn-lang-dismissed | Local storage, UTurn | Remembers that you closed the language suggestion | Until you delete it |
uturn-consent | Local storage, UTurn | Remembers your cookie preferences | 6 months |
__cf_bm, cf_clearance | Technical cookie, Cloudflare | Protects the website from automated traffic and attacks; set only when needed | From 30 minutes to 1 year |
3What we don't use
- No profiling or advertising cookies.
- No analytics tools (for example Google Analytics).
- No buttons or embedded content from social networks.
- No fonts or videos loaded from external servers.
4Do we need your consent?
No: technical cookies don't require consent (Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) guidelines of 10 June 2021). That's why the banner only informs you. If in the future we add analytics or other tools, we'll turn them on only after you consent, which you can give, refuse or change at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page.
5How to delete them from your browser
You can delete cookies and site data from your browser settings, for example in Chrome (Settings › Privacy and security), Safari (Settings › Privacy), Firefox (Settings › Privacy & Security) or Edge (Settings › Cookies and site permissions). The website will keep working, but it will forget the language you picked.
